EnergyAustralia and VincentCare have some shared goals which have resulted in several joint activities that have contributed to the business and strategic objectives of both organisations over the past couple of years.
What started initially with advocacy and practical support for the financial inclusion of people experiencing hardship through the ‘Bring Your Bills’ days organised for VincentCare clients in the Hume region in early 2016, extended to a donation in lieu of corporate Christmas cards in late 2016 for the delivery of our core program support for people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage.
In July 2017, EnergyAustralia announced its Every Goal Every Game campaign and pledged to donate $50 to VincentCare for every goal kicked at the MCG for the rest of the AFL season. A donation of $25,000 was presented to VincentCare in November 2017 to provide support to women and their children escaping family violence.
“For VincentCare, financial support for our range of programs that directly support people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage from businesses like EnergyAustralia is invaluable.” said VincentCare CEO, John Blewonski.
“Importantly, EnergyAustralia’s support for VincentCare is a meaningful way to demonstrate its sustainability commitment to customers, and to Energy Australia staff the difference its internal Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Program can make in the community” said EnergyAustralia Managing Director,Catherine Tanna.
