It's National Volunteer Week from Monday 17 May to Sunday 23 May 2021 and we want to introduce you to some of our wonderful volunteers!
18 May 2021
It’s National Volunteer Week from 17-23 May, an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.
This is a time to pause, recognise and celebrate our dedicated volunteers around Victoria.
This year’s theme is Recognise, Reconnect, Reimagine.
We recognise, celebrate and thank our volunteers for the vital role they play in our communities
After the year that was, we’re so grateful that our volunteers can continue to reconnect with us on-site
We reimagine what our volunteer program will look like as we continue to come together – stronger – in 2021.
Meet our volunteers
As part of National Volunteer Week, we would like to introduce you to some of the wonderful people in our Client Volunteer Program!
“I didn’t expect to get along with people before getting into CVP, it has assisted me to have many aspects of the attitude modified, and, the rest of the crew to become family was unexpected.”
“I like social interaction with other volunteers, I love how clients make me feel respected during volunteering. It is rewarding and satisfying to be able to volunteer.”
“I like that it gives me a chance to connect with people. Feeling of purpose and accomplishment . Feeling of being apart of a team. Learning new skills. Gaining confidence satisfaction in assisting others.”
“I’ve been CVP over 2 years. I love working in O’café, making coffees and treating everyone with dignity. I can see myself volunteering at VCV for a long time.”
“I’ve enjoyed meeting new people and making lifetime new friends. Through volunteering at VCV it has given me new purpose in my life.”
“I joined CVP because I like to serve the community and share smiles. If I can make others happy, I am happy. It’s a joy to volunteer, it is my passion.”
“Through volunteering I have gained new skills and experience while building connections with the other friendly volunteers, staff and clients.”
“The ability to aid people while allowing my interpersonal skills to grow has been remarkable. Volunteering at Vincent Care is always a joyous experience while working with amazing people from all backgrounds.”
