VincentCare Victoria Board of Directors


Rod McDonald Bachelor of Commerce Melbourne University, CPA, Churchill Fellow, GAICD

Rod has held a range of senior positions with Australia Post including State General Manager for Victoria/Tasmania and National Group Manager Human Resources. 

Prior to this, Rod held Departmental Head and other senior positions with the Victorian Government including General Manager, Workforce Management, Deputy Director General Local Government, Housing and Transport. These roles have included a focus on finance, strategy, industrial relations and human resource management. 

He was also a member of the Business Council of Australia Committee on Education and Innovation and Chairman of Mt Lilydale College for 6 years.

Rod is Chairman of the VincentCare Board.


Haydn Harrison  MBA, Bachelor of Business (Accounting), GAICD, FCPA

Haydn has an extensive background in banking and finance, including many corporate and retail executive roles with the Commonwealth Banking Corporation. 

Following his banking career, he has undertaken various leadership and strategic roles as a consultant and manager across various industries including finance, seniors living and aged care. He is currently a consultant / senior manager with Jirsh Sutherland Advisory and Consulting.

His current role includes investigations into reasons for business failure, corporate insolvency and the conduct of company directors and officers. 

Haydn joined the Board on 25 August 2009. He is the VincentCare Victoria and VincentCare Community Housing Treasurer.


Nancy Huang M.B.B.S. (Honours), Master of Public Health, Registered in General Practice, Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, GAICD

Nancy is currently Chief Medical Officer, Remedy Healthcare, a wholly owned subsidiary of Australian Unity where she is responsible for the clinical governance, safety and quality, and the overall design and implementation of community and home-based health management programs for people with chronic disease.

Nancy also holds appointments as Adjunct Professor for the Faculty of Health, Deakin University and Chief Investigator for NHMRC funded Medicine and Device Surveillance Centre of Research Excellence at University of South Australia.

Nancy is the Chair of the Program, Policy & Practice Committee.


Erin Lalor  Bachelor of Applied Science (Speech and Hearing Science), PhD

Erin has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the health sector, working in clinical, academic and executive roles. 

In November 2017, Erin was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Alcohol and Drug Foundation and prior to that held the roles of CEO of the National Stroke Foundation and a Director of the World Stroke Organisation. 

She sits on a number of advisory committees in relation to public health, clinical improvements and evidence-based approaches to healthcare delivery. Erin has a strong track record in developing and strengthening organisations and brings a vast range of skills and experience to VincentCare.


David McFadyen Assoc. Dip. Vals, AAPI, MAICD, CFM

David joined ISPT in November 2004 to establish and manage ISPT No 3, an opportunities and development fund. 

David has in excess of 30 years’ experience encompassing the areas of valuations, property management, property development, and property funds management gained with financial institutions such as AXA and Deutsche Bank in Australia and the UK. 

David’s current responsibility is for the overall performance of the series of ISPT Development Funds including identification of potential projects, the procurement of capital for development and oversight of the development process.


Linda Peterson M. Comm. Law, Dip. Bus. Mgt, B.Sc., GAICD

Linda joined the VincentCare Board in May 2016 where she is a member of the Governance Committee and Program, Policy & Practice Committee. 

Linda has an extensive background in contract management working in complex legislative, regulatory and high-risk environments covering both the corporate and government sectors.

Her roles have included Relationship Manager Vic/Tas with the National Broadband Network Co. and Contract Manager roles with Corrections Victoria (Dept. of Justice) and Optus Business.

Linda has been a Board member of Disability Enterprise, Araluen for more than five years and is Deputy Chair as well as a member of its Development Advisory Committee.


David Purchase OAM, LLB

David was the Executive Director of Victorian Automobile Chamber of Commerce for 17 years and retired from this positon in 2014. 

David has an extensive background in life insurance, previously appointed Group Company Secretary with Norwich Union Financial Services Limited and Deputy General Manager of Lifescreen Australia (a subsidiary of Norwich Group). David also was appointed Executive Director of the Life Insurance Federation of Australia, the representative body for all the life insurance companies operating in Australia. 

David has been involved in various Boards including the Board of Australian Overseas Foundation Inc and Metropolitan Fire & Emergency Services Board.

David was also awarded the Order of Australia Medal in 2005.


Michael Quinn

Michael is currently the Deputy State President of St Vincent de Paul Victoria. 

Michael established the East Timor Scholarship Fund – funds are distributed by Australian Salesian Mission Overseas Aid Fund. He is also President of the Parish Council at St Judes Parish in Langwarrin and a member of the Finance Committee. 

Michael has been involved in establishing and managing several businesses over the past 35 years.


Linden Smibert Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Dr Linden Smibert is an experienced non-executive director with more than 15 years’ experience. During this time, she has been involved in various health Boards and also educational organisations. She has been a chair of several of these, and is currently on the Board of The Royal Children’s Hospital. She is particularly experienced in governance, strategy and risk.

Linden is a medical practitioner and for many years owned and operated her own practice.


Brian Tooth Bachelor of Commerce (Melb), ACA, AGIA, ACIS, GAICD

Brian has held a range of senior finance and accounting positions across both the private and public sectors, principally with Foster's Brewing Group Limited and the Department of Treasury and Finance (Vic), in addition to listed entities in the Health sector.

He previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant, whilst working at an antecedent firm of Ernst & Young. He is semi-retired and currently consulting to the State Government on an occasional basis.

Brian has been a member of VincentCare’s Risk, Audit and Finance Committee for nearly three years, where he has demonstrated strong analytical capacity and financial acumen. 

He also currently serves as a Board Member and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the John Pierce Centre (Catholic deaf community) and a Board (and Finance Committee) Member of Doncare Community Services. He is Treasurer of the Australian Cricket Society Inc.


Adriana Zuccala Bachelor of Laws (Hons), Bachelor of Arts, Master of Laws (Commercial Law), Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Markets), GAICD, F Fin, LIV

Adriana joined the Board in October 2010 and is Deputy Chair.

Adriana is the Managing Director of Supra Capital, a real estate debt and equity fund manager. 

Adriana, a qualified lawyer, has almost 20 years’ experience in the financial services, property and legal sectors.

Adriana previously worked for nearly 10 years operating contributory mortgage schemes and property development funds. She was also general counsel of a property development and funds management company and prior to that a partner of a large national law firm, specialising in property development and financing.

Maurice Joyce BEc (Hons); MEc

Maurice has a background in economics and finance in the manufacturing and mining industries.

He worked at the World Bank in Washington DC and held management positions with Rio Tinto in Australia and internationally. He was also a Commissioner at the Commonwealth Government's Productivity Commission.

Maurice is President of the Ringwood Region of the Society.

Maurice is Chair of the Investment Committee.
